Twisted Breit-Wheeler electron-positron pair creation via vortex gamma photons

Particles in quantum vortex states (QVSs) carrying definite orbital angular momenta (OAM) bring different perspectives various fundamental interaction processes. When unique properties arise the QVS, understanding how OAM manifests itself between initial particles and outcome particle collisions becomes essential. This is made possible by applying complete description for all involved such that (AM) are represented explicit numbers their connections naturally retrieved. We demonstrate full-vortex quantum-electrodynamics (QED) results Breit-Wheeler pair creation process derive AM-dependent selection rule. The numerically resolved cross sections show antisymmetric spin polarization and, most importantly, spectra collision latter reveals efficient conversion of to created pairs, leading featured hollow ring-shaped structure density distribution. These a clear picture AM physics scattering processes high energy particles.
